Animeals – We have two volunteers who are involved in the Animeals program sponsored by Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston. Once a month they travel downtown to the Meals on Wheels center where they pick up numerous bags of dog and cat food, along with toys and treats, to be delivered to participants of the Meals on Wheels program who have pets. During their time volunteering with Animeals they have truly made a difference in both the animals’ and peoples’ live who they deliver to.
Corridor Rescue Street Team – Another Animal Saved also sends a volunteer to help Corridor Rescue’s Street Team on a monthly basis. This is not an easy job, but has an immediate impact on a suffering animals life. While assisting the Street Team, we travel to designated feeding stations that are spread out throughout the corridor of cruelty, leaving food and water for starving dogs, cats, horses, and even goats.
Special Pals Spay Neuter Program – Another Animal Saved has partnered with Special Pals Rescue, in order to offer reduced cost spay and neuter to animals leaving kill shelters. Through donations received we have been able to subsidize the cost of spaying and neutering in order to help break the cycle. Our hope that is with this program with can both assist and educate members of the public who may have other gotten they newly adopted pet spay or neutered.
